John Coe's Stearman
There are, perhaps, only a handful of airplanes ever built that are so recognizable that you will rarely find a person that can't name it by sight (whether or not they know anything about aviation). Let's see... the 747, the Concorde, the Wright Flyer, the Piper Cub, and of course, the Stearman. The vast majority of WWII pilots were trained in the Stearman, so it's not a stretch to say that the world owes a large slice of its freedom to this airplane. UPS MD-11 Capt John Coe owns and proudly flys this beautiful example.... and we are all envious!
